We’re super excited to launch World Through Your Lens — our photo competition to celebrate travel and inspire new adventures as we head into 2025.
It’s great that you’d like to get involved. We can’t wait to see snapshots of the world through your lens. Firstly though, here are the ground rules:
- Submit one photo only
- It has to have been taken by you
- Provide the information we have requested
- Entries will close on 11th February 2025
- Our team will then narrow submissions down to 5 finalists
- Those 5 photos will be put to the public in a vote for the winner
- The winner will receive a £500 voucher to put towards their next getaway, which has to be booked through Global Independent Travel

Terms & Conditions
- Must be a UK resident to enter aged 18 years or over
- The competition starts at 00:01 on 1st January 2025 and finishes at 23:59 on 11th February 2025
- The competition is open to all photographers (both amateur and professional)
- Entrants into the competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions
- You must submit the original high-resolution jpeg photographic image (within the size limits of the upload form), taken by you. You must include your full name, a short caption (maximum 100 words) explaining what the photograph shows and where/when it was taken, and your email address
- Only one entry is permitted per person
- By submitting an entry you give Global Independent Travel Centre permission for your entry to be published on Global Independent Travel Centre website and any social media account controlled by Global Independent Travel Centre, you also give the right to use your name and county of residence for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry and/or as a winner in the competition
- You own the copyright to your competition entry as its author, however Facebook and Instagram operate a separate set of terms and conditions than listed here and as such copyright ownership may transfer to the social network it is uploaded on. - Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trade marks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behavior, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If Global Independent Travel Centre has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these terms and conditions, then Global Independent Travel Centre may not consider it and may disqualify it
- Global Independent Travel Centre will pick five photos to be uploaded to our social media, the photo with the most ‘likes’ will win a £500 Global Independent Travel Centre Holiday voucher
- The prize voucher is valid for one year
- The prize cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative
- The Overall Winner will be notified by Global Independent Travel Centre by telephone or email by 28th February 2025 and given details of how to claim their prize. If the Overall Winner does not respond to Global Independent Travel Centre within 14 days of being notified of their win, then the Overall Prize will be forfeited and the judges shall be entitled to select another Overall Winner
