Like many people that had not previously experienced this part of the world first hand, I had a number of preconceptions around what to expect before my adventure – my own personal experience not only dispelled any prior concerns I had before my wonderful trip, it also opened my eyes to this amazing country; I felt incredibly safe, welcomed and fantastically well catered for throughout!
What I was most impressed with was the diversity of Abu Dhabi itself – from luxurious hotels, traditional culture, beautiful beaches and even Formula One for those who like their fast cars… this country really does have it all!
I was lucky enough to spend a few days experiencing a wide variety of the hotels Abu Dhabi has to offer, from the elegant Ritz Carlton and its iconic backdrop of the Grand Mosque and Canal (which was breath taking), the Saadiyat Rotana which was situated upon some of the most pristine white beaches I’ve ever seen, and the Yas Marina is a particular highlight for any thrill seekers out there (and architecturally stunning to boot!).
If I thought the hotels were of the highest standard, I was pleased to find the menus equally amazing. As a food lover – and a fussy one at that – I had no reason to worry, it was always of a superior quality wherever I dined with a massive choice catering to all needs, diets and tastes (as my scales confirmed on my post-holiday weigh in!)
I honestly would highly recommend Abu Dhabi to all, whether a family, a couple or adventure seekers travelling on their own; it ticks all the boxes and I will be returning very, very soon!
